Hi hair lovers,
I'd like to share here my last 3D work, it was a ~2 day modeling session. I've set a new workflow for my hair scenes that suits better my needs. Next step: better looking hair, that will be for the next speed modeling session.
Mostly used splines as hair emitter.

I personally find it easier to work with the hair-mesh modeling method than the spline method for most hairstyles, maybe you should see if that can also work for you. I would also say having more but thinner hairs would improve the result, and also some uncombed ones that don't follow the main flow can also help, but being a cartoon character that might not be what you are looking for.

Totally agree with you, but with thinner hair it would have look like a rubber doll and maybe too realistic. But I'll use that workflow on the next character.
I come from Hair&fur, so I'm not yet used to hair mesh modeling, I guess it will come with time.
