l! I take a little break of my Conan to do a new head model and try modre the sss2 in vray,

Here is some begeinning ont he texturing and some render test, again done with Vray sss2.

I had redone new eyes more physically correct then the one I had before.

So I will add more details to the bump map on some places and I will continue the diffuse map, the diffe map is done 80% by hand and the bump map is done 100 % by hand, I did not start using photo.. I did all the skin pore in zbrush then use it as a bump and I will tweak more .

so , here are some preview, more to come soon with hairs and all the good stuff. I did the eybrows in 10 min with hairfarm, so mazaing that hairfarm hehe

Cem, I have a request, can you add please a link tickness to length option? So the longest hairs are at 100% and the msaller one have a smaller radius, like it have in hair and fur in max?

Would be cool for eyelash etc.

more to come soon

The character looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing more.
I'll see what I can do about hair thickness.

Wow Bigguns, that is simply stunning work. I think this is the best example of vray skin that I've seen, so wow, great job!

I'm really impressed, your work is awesome.

Regards,

Joe

Hi all! Thank you very much for your kind comments :)

Here is an update, and yes I will remove the hairs in the texture today haha it's about time .

Here are the eyebrows , I made them with amazin hairfarm , convert them to poly and render them , I had to put the aa of vray very hight to get it not too much jagged... and it tkae age to render, will see if I render them in pass odr final render.

So here is a test with a single light, just to see how the skin shader react without hdri and sylight.

anyway, here it is

Stunning again! The skin and the eyes are just extreme ..esp the dispersion and scatter effect that is on display on the right (just under biguns wip 2010). Very convincing!!

Hi all! and thank's for the comments :)

here is an update, I used hairfarm on the cloths, for the little hairs and dust and on his face, the eyebrows look bad because I rendered them as polygon, I will soon rerender tehm with hairfarm and comp them too, and I will try to get hyper real hair ;l gonna be hard to macht the rest.. will see :)

here is an update :)

I'm kind of bored of that model right now, don't know if I will put more hair on him ;l maybe I will try a short haircut, something fast to do. but for now, it's that.

He looks very realistic. I can see that Hair Farm is used all over the image (like tiny threads on the shirt and facial hair), but it's all hidden, as they are so nicely put together.

Creating a hair model that would match this level of realism can be challenging even with Hair Farm. I would very much like to see your progress, if you decide to give it a shot.

This is awesome!

Do you have Speed Up on by any chance? If you do, please try setting it to "Lights and Shadows Only." This should give you better shading results.

WOW! I don't know what to say, Luc. I thought modeling realistic hair could be challenging. Turns out that it wasn't so challenging for you after all. :)

I'd already sent you an email requesting permission for putting this image to the gallery. :)
I'll wait for the beard, then.
