Platige - Cyberpunk 2077

Post by Frubes »

A friend just sent me a link to some behind the scenes from the latest cyberpunk 2077 trailer. Some really nice use of Hairfarm in there by Platige image in Poland! Would be great to hear more from them on their use of Hairfarm.

Im not from Platige and am no way associated with them. I just thought the use of hairfarm was very good.

I did the hair-farm version of that hair (I think they converted it splines and rendered in another software), so let me know if you have any specific questions.

It looks great woody. The modelling is top notch, i was curious about the rendering though. I would be interested to know what they rendered in as im assuming they used 3ds Max unless they exported splines to another program.

Cheers,

Great job Woody.
Not much was said about the hair on the behance site.
I too would be interested to read more about the workflow.

I think they wanted to render it in v-ray, and as this was done before hair-farm 2.0, they converted it to splines and I think they used ornatrix to do the render, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Awesome hair model! The hair material & rendering in the video didn't look like Hair Farm to me.

This is amazing work, both the hair and obviously the rest of the video. I can watch it over and over. Good job to all involved.
