Re: AFRO Woman
Great character, love the retro vibe this one's got
On the second image, her right eye reflection makes the eye look a bit flat. I would change that, I think.

Re: Woman hair in progress (NUDITY)
Great hair work, some of the best I've seen with Hair Farm! Pretty risque result in that end image, but nice work on the skin and deformations too (some tricky bending of the upper arm/shoulder)

Re: VAGALUME_Centauro_Sport_wear
Lovely cartoony style, and cool to see some long hair with nice looking simulation.
Some of the hair felt a bit slow-motion, but it fit in with the cartoony style

Re: Male hair in progress
Good start, but the tapering is the thing that ruins it for me!
Apart from the eyebrows, the beard and hair is probably this short because of it being shaved or cut down - so there shouldn't be any tapering at all on those regions

Oops, now I see that it mentions scan in the original post. Sorry about that, been working too much

Re: Emaline, scans and sIBL Lighting tests with Hair-Farm
Did you try and use the reflection slot for the hair? Or are the hair speculars set up manually?

Great work Lee, and fantastic work on the model too - I like the natural looking poses. Is this from your 3D scanning service?

Mmmm...cheeeeese...
Lovely fur you got there! I like the softness of the lighting in the fur, any special tricks for that?

Re: Sheep
Great - will try that too.
Re: Sheep
It seems like I have to turn self-collisions back on. When he's on his back, the fur starts interpenetrating his tummy. Or perhaps I should create some simple collision objects instead...
Re: Sheep
I noticed the hair mesh has a fair deal of self-intersections, will that affect simulation?
Re: Sheep
Thanks Cem, I will try that. The first version actually had no collisions, but still was jittery in places (you see it around the ears when the sheep is upside down). I will look at the mesh, and see if I can fix it.
Re: Sheep
Here's an updated render of the simulation. The fur is a lot thicker now, and I love the weighty feel of this sim. It took some days to render though, V-Ray kept crashing on me (usually at night, when I wasn't looking!). I'm switching over to Brazil for the next version. 100212_sheep_simtest.mov I'm...
Re: Sheep
Thanks everyone
Lee: No GI, even though I wish I had. It's a basic three point setup, with a carefully colored spot coming from below.

Re: I.C.E
Looking at it again, I wonder if lowering the shadow opacity would do it for the hair?
Sheep
I've been trying to create realistic fur for a sheep, and getting it to simulate believably, and these are my results so far.
There are some shadow artifacts on the simulation test, and the fur feels a tad light, but these are works in progress
