I thought it was about time I posted some new renders of some Hair-Farm hair.

Thanks to Cem's amazing latest release of the plug-in it is now allot lot easier to create more striking and dynamic looking hair styles. The new bump feature breathes life into your hair models. The character model itself is still early WIP, lots of problem areas need fixing. Rig was done by the very talented Alexander Tomchuk and a big thanks to Mike Nash for lending me some of his carefully created complex hair splines.

And a massive thanks, of course, to Cem

I found out a cool trick today, try to add some spotlight in the scene just set to cast specular light you can get some very cool fake reflection effects, especially if you colour the lights

Thanks Anish! No it's in a Mix material modifier + 2 Noise modifiers in the new Bump slot You need Speed Up (Per-Vertex Shading) turned off in the Rendering tab

Thanks Cem, yeah the bump is a little too strong in places but I can't help myself! : )

Did you render the skin in max ?

I know you don't have much time, but maybe you can try some more in between layers. Where hair is cut in layers to breakup that perfect hair look.

A quick way you could do that is fade your layered hair layer at the roots and at the ends, then fling ends out using a modifier and slightly inflate the hair style so those layers pop through.
